Lyn Hennion is a retired financial advisor who spent nearly 25 years with Umpqua Investments (formerly Strand Atkinson Williams & York) in Medford. Previously, she was a vice president and senior regional manager for the Franklin Templeton mutual funds, based first in Oregon and later in Philadelphia and Washington, DC. A graduate of Stanford University, Lyn also completed the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.
An active community member, Lyn currently also serves on the boards of the Craterian Performances Company, the Robert J. and Leona DeArmond Public Foundation, and the Buncom Historical Society. A former director of the Oregon Community Foundation, she continues to serve on their Southern Oregon Leadership Council and as a fund advisor. She is a former member of the board of organizations ranging from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Pacific Retirement Services, and the Children’s Institute to the Rogue Valley Airport Advisory Committee, Oregon’s 529 College Savings Network, and Governor Kitzhaber’s “Ten Year Plan for Oregon.”
Lyn was recognized as a “Top Financial Advisor” by Worth and Registered Representative magazines. In 2015, she was honored by the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County with their “First Citizen” award.
During tax season, Lyn is a volunteer tax preparer and counselor serving with the AARP Foundation’s free TaxAide program.
Lyn and her husband, Alex Bellen, live near the historic town of Buncom in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon.
