Matt Stephenson serves as President and CEO of Rogue Credit Union, a role he assumed in 2022 after nearly two decades of leadership within the organization. Since joining Rogue in 2004, Matt has advanced through a variety of key positions—including Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President—shaping the credit union’s growth and member-focused mission.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He graduated with Highest Honors from Western CUNA Management School, where he was awarded the prestigious Charlie Clark Memorial Award, and he has also earned the Certified Chief Executive designation from the Credit Union Executives Society CEO Institute.

A respected leader in the credit union movement, Matt serves on state and national committees, including the GoWest Governmental Affairs Committee, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, and the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. He is also a faculty member at Western CUNA Management School.

Beyond his professional achievements, Matt is active in his community, having served on city, county, and regional boards, as well as in youth programs through his church and the Boy Scouts of America, where he is an Eagle Scout. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the CUAO Young Professional of the Year award, the Heidemann Scholar Award, and recognition as a Credit Union Rock Star by CUNA.
