Julissa Taitano

Julissa Taitano is a graduate student at SOU pursuing a master of science degree in education with a concentration in higher education leadership. She holds a graduate assistantship in SOU’s School of Education. As an aspiring educator, Ms. Taitano recognizes a systemic need for higher education institutions to embrace the urgency of being a catalyst for change.

Ms. Taitano chairs the Student Fee Budget Committee of the Associated Students of Southern Oregon University (SOU) and previously served as ASSOU’s vice president as well as its senator for clubs and organizations. She currently interns in the Center for Holistic Education where she attends and records minutes for weekly subcommittee meetings and coordinates bi-annual conferences. Ms. Taitano is also a resident manager for SOU’s Student and Family Housing Department.
